Not feeling very well this morning!

Filed under: In the UK — by nickywashida @ 1:40 pm

Had a great GNO with my fab England girls last night – started off at Eithne’s for pre-departure champagne, and then took “Ken’s cab service” to the venue – Gayle’s 40th birthday party – where we all just

Made from the Pick n Mix! V proud of my creativity! See honey! Thinking of you the whole time!

threw back white wine, the buffet included a Pick n Mix, and danced our butts off school-disco style. Great fun! Do you remember Drumsticks? Mojo’s? Flying Saucers?! Strawberry bonbons?! We scoffed them all. Certain that is why I am feeling sick as a dog this morning…..!  There were plenty of pics taken, but most of them are not suitable for a public blog, so just take my word for it – we had a great time!

In other news: Mia’s second tooth has come out! It popped out this morning as we were eating breakfast and now I have a bit of a problem. She has been grilling me for days now  on where Neverland is, how Peter Pan got everyone there and back, how to get to Pixie Hollow and which fairy is likely to come and bring her some money when her tooth falls out! I didn’t pay too much attention at first and answered her questions as well as I could (I thought!) but now she seems to have got it into her head that the fairies are going to bring her wings tonight instead of money so that she can fly to Pixie Hollow with them! Shehas told mum not to put the bed covers on her tonight because then the fairies won’t be able to fix her wings on properly, and has asked me to email the school to explain why she has wings tomorrow and to confirm whether she can wear them over or under her uniform!

We have caught her behind the sofa praying to the fairies and she has written a letter to be given to the fairy tonight begging her for wings. Thanks a BUNCH Disney!

So….anyone?….any ideas on how I am going to get out of this one with her childhood wonder and innocence still intact???!

  2. I would write her a fancy letter from the fairies explaining that they heard she wants wings, and while that is very flattering, only fairies can have wings! Little girls have other kinds of magic. However — she can have wings in her dreams! Put this fairy picture under your pillow, and say these words, “Fairy wings, fairy wings, come tonight, fairy wings, fairy wings, let me take flight!” And maybe, just maybe, you might fly like a fairy in your dreams.
